What ducted installs has Delta Temp done in Little Mountain?

The 14 kW Mitsubishi Electric job included a condensate drain refit. The condensate drain carries away the water the indoor unit pulls out of the air, so it needs to run properly. The 18 kW Fujitsu is a big system, and the 10 kW Mitsubishi Electric job had its AirTouch 5 upgrade. Different houses, different answers.
What happens at a ducted site inspection in Little Mountain?
We visit the home for free and look at the roof space, the rooms you want zoned and where the indoor and outdoor units can go. We give you a fixed quote after the inspection. Most Sunshine Coast homes land between $11,000 and $18,000 installed.
Larger homes can reach about $22,000, depending on home size, zones and roof space. The inspection is also where we check insulation, glass, ceiling height and orientation, which change the size of system you need. What return air grille does an 18 kW ducted system need?
For 16 kW and above we use a 900 x 550 return grille. For 10 to 14 kW ducted, a 900 x 500 return grille is the rule of thumb. An 18 kW system is firmly in the larger category. We confirm the size on site.
The return grille is where the system pulls air back to be cooled again. Too small and the unit struggles, so we check it at the inspection rather than guess. In Little Mountain we have installed systems on both sides of that line, a 14 kW and an 18 kW Fujitsu, plus 10 kW and 14 kW Mitsubishi Electric units.
What warranty comes with a ducted install?
Installations carry a 10 year workmanship warranty. It covers defects in our installation work only. Equipment faults fall under the manufacturer warranty, and fair wear and tear and lack of servicing are not covered. Full terms are at deltatemp.com.au/warranty/.
