What ducted installs have you done in Buderim?
We have replaced existing ducted systems and fitted new ones in Buderim homes, plus new builds for builders. Systems ranged from 12.5 kW to 18 kW, and most were paired with AirTouch 5 zone control. Brands included Mitsubishi Electric, Fujitsu, Daikin, Hisense, Samsung and Gree.
Some jobs were bigger than a straight swap. On a few homes we upgraded the ducting, added an extra outlet or moved the outdoor unit. On new builds we installed for the builder. Every home is different, so we start from what is actually there.

How do you size a ducted system for a Buderim home?
We add up the heat load of every zoned room at about 150 W per square metre, then size the system at about 70% of that total, because the zones are never all running flat out at once. A 12.5 kW system suits 5 zones, about 120 m2 of zoned rooms.
A 14 kW suits 6 zones, which is the same layout plus a media room or similar, at about 130 m2. These are starting points only. At the free site inspection we adjust for insulation, glass, ceiling height and orientation, so a sunny, glassy home can land differently to a shaded, well insulated one. Bigger homes needing 16 kW and above are sized the same way, room by room.
What happens at the free site inspection before a ducted quote?
We visit before we quote. We look at the rooms to be zoned and how the home is built, including insulation, glass, ceiling height and orientation. The inspection is free, and the quote is fixed after it, so the price does not drift once work starts.
Tell us who the job is for, whether a homeowner or a builder, and what you want to replace or fit. If you are replacing a system, the existing ducting is part of that conversation. If finance helps, humm is available, always subject to approval by humm. Call 1800 335 828 to book your inspection.

What size return air grille does a ducted system need?
Our rule of thumb is a 900 x 500 return grille for 10 to 14 kW ducted systems, and a 900 x 550 for 16 kW and above. Return air matters because a system that cannot pull enough air back will run noisier and work harder than it should.
Many of the Buderim installs sit at 14 kW or 16 kW, so the return grille is a real part of the design, not an afterthought. It is one reason we look closely at ducting during a replacement, and why some jobs include a ducting upgrade or an additional outlet. The inspection confirms what suits your home.
What warranty comes with a ducted install in Buderim?
Installations carry a 10 year workmanship warranty. It covers defects in our installation work only. Equipment faults fall under the manufacturer warranty, such as Fujitsu 5 years or Hisense 7 years parts and labour. Fair wear and tear and lack of servicing are not covered.
We are QBCC licensed, ARC authorised and insured. If you want AirTouch 5 zone control, it goes in as part of the install. Full terms are at deltatemp.com.au/warranty/. Read them before you decide, and ask us if anything is unclear.
