What ducted installs have you done in Caboolture?
We have installed and replaced ducted systems in Caboolture homes, and replaced a Temperzone ducted split for a business or body corporate. Sizes ran from 10 kW to 25 kW. Most homes got Mitsubishi Electric with AirTouch 5, and one replacement was a 16 kW Hisense.
Some jobs needed more than the unit itself. Some included a ducting upgrade, and one also had rust proofing. The larger systems suit bigger floor plans, and we size them the same way as any other: room by room, then checked at the inspection. We describe here what the work involved, not what every home will need.

Why would a Caboolture home need a ducting upgrade?
Old ducting can limit a new system. If the existing runs are undersized, damaged or poorly laid out, a new unit cannot deliver what it should. On some Caboolture jobs we upgraded the ducting alongside the new system, and on one we also did rust proofing.
We do not guess. Whether the existing ducting can be reused is something we look at in the free site inspection, and the fixed quote reflects what we find. Return air matters too. Our rule of thumb is a 900 x 500 return grille for 10 to 14 kW, and a 900 x 550 for 16 kW and above.
How do you work out the right ducted size?
We add up the heat load of every zoned room at about 150 W per square metre, then size the system at about 70% of that total, because the zones are never all running flat out at once. In practice a 12.5 kW system suits 5 zones, about 120 m2 of zoned rooms.
A 14 kW suits 6 zones, about 130 m2. The inspection adjusts for insulation, glass, ceiling height and orientation. That is why Caboolture homes of similar size can end up with different systems, from 10 kW to 16 kW. We would rather size it properly than sell you the biggest unit on the shelf.

How does a ducted quote work in Caboolture?
We book a free site inspection before we quote a ducted system. We look at the home and what it needs, and the quote is fixed after the inspection. Call 1800 335 828 to arrange it. Delta Temp is based in Baringa and services the Sunshine Coast from Caboolture to Noosa.
Quotes often come as options, for example different sizes or brands, with or without AirTouch 5 zone control. That lets you compare. Finance is available through humm, always subject to approval by humm. Installations carry a 10 year workmanship warranty covering defects in our installation work only. Hisense equipment has a 7 year manufacturer warranty on parts and labour.
