What ducted systems have you installed in Golden Beach?
We have installed ducted systems in Golden Beach homes and for a business or body corporate client. Sizes run from 10 kW to 14 kW, mostly Mitsubishi Electric, and a Fujitsu as well. Most were fitted with an AirTouch 5 zone controller, so each zone can be set on its own.
Several jobs also included extra work around the system. That covered rustproofing, upgraded ductwork, a better filter and a wall bracket. On one job we fitted R1.5 rated ductwork. The aim is a system that suits the home and holds up in coastal conditions, not just the biggest unit on offer.

Does salt air matter for ducted air conditioning at Golden Beach?
Yes. Golden Beach is on the water, and salt air corrodes outdoor units and fittings over time. That is why rustproofing shows up on many of our Golden Beach installs. It is a sensible add on for any home close to the coast, not an extra for the sake of it.
Rustproofing protects the outdoor unit, where salt does most of its damage. Whether you need it depends on how close the unit will sit to the water and how exposed the site is. We look at that during the free site inspection and say so plainly. Our 10 year workmanship warranty covers defects in our installation work only, not equipment faults, fair wear and tear or lack of servicing. Full terms are at deltatemp.com.au/warranty/.
What size ducted system does my Golden Beach home need?
We add up the heat load of every zoned room at about 150 W per square metre, then size the system at about 70% of that total, because zones are never all running flat out at once. A 12.5 kW system suits 5 zones, and a 14 kW suits 6 zones.
In practice a 12.5 kW system suits 4 bedrooms plus an open kitchen, living and dining, about 120 m2 of zoned rooms. A 14 kW suits the same plus a media room or similar, about 130 m2. The inspection then adjusts for insulation, glass, ceiling height and orientation. Smaller homes can suit 10 kW. Return air matters too: 10 to 14 kW ducted takes a 900 x 500 return grille.

How is a ducted system quoted in Golden Beach?
Every ducted quote starts with a free site inspection. We check the roof space, the zones and the home itself, then give you a fixed quote after the inspection. Most Sunshine Coast homes land between $11,000 and $18,000 installed, and larger homes can reach about $22,000, depending on home size, zones and roof space.
The exact price comes from the inspection, not from a guess over the phone. Finance is available through humm, always subject to approval by humm. We are QBCC licensed and ARC authorised, and the system carries the manufacturer warranty plus our 10 year workmanship warranty. Call 1800 335 828 to book.
