What ducted installs has Delta Temp done in Banya?
In Banya we have installed 12.5 kW ducted systems in homes, using Samsung and Mitsubishi Electric equipment. One Samsung system used the AirTouch 5 control system and another used standard zoning. The Mitsubishi Electric system was also 12.5 kW.
These were all home installs from 2024. The quotes were laid out as options, so the owner could compare brands and zone control side by side. A 12.5 kW system suits about 5 zones, which is roughly 4 bedrooms plus an open kitchen, living and dining. Our installation work carries a 10 year workmanship warranty, with manufacturer warranty on the equipment.

Should I choose AirTouch 5 or standard zoning?
Both are ways to choose which rooms get air. Standard zoning is the base setup, and AirTouch 5 is a zone controller that can be added as an upgrade. In Banya we have installed both, and we quote them as options.
The right choice depends on how you want to run the house. Compare the options on the quote and ask us anything that is unclear. Either way the ducting, outlets and return air are designed for the home. We install AirTouch 5 across many ducted jobs, and the inspection is where we talk it through.
What does ducted air conditioning cost in Banya, and how is it quoted?
Most Sunshine Coast homes land between $11,000 and $18,000 installed, and larger homes can reach about $22,000, depending on home size, zones and roof space. We do a free site inspection first, and the quote is fixed after that inspection.
At the inspection we check the roof space, the zone layout and the return air position. We size the system by adding up the heat load of every zoned room at about 150 W per square metre, then taking about 70% of that total. Finance is available through humm, always subject to approval by humm.

What return air grille does a 12.5 kW ducted system need?
For 10 to 14 kW ducted we use a 900 x 500 return grille, and 16 kW and above takes a 900 x 550. A 12.5 kW system, like the ones installed in Banya, falls in the first group.
Return air matters because a ducted system that cannot draw enough air will run harder and sound worse. The grille size is a rule of thumb we use, and the inspection confirms where it can go.
