Baringa was one of the first suburbs in Aura, and its streets are full of homes that are a few years old and were handed over with a split system or two, or with nothing at all. Delta Temp's workshop is at 2/11 Abeles Street, Baringa, so for most Baringa homes our team is closer than the nearest shopping centre.
- Part of Aura, between Caloundra West and Nirimba
- Housing: newer single and double storey homes on compact and standard lots, plus townhouses
- Common job: adding zoned ducted to a home that came with splits, or replacing a builder grade split
- Our address: 2/11 Abeles Street, Baringa QLD 4551
Can you add ducted air conditioning to a Baringa home after it is built?
Yes, and it is one of the most common jobs we do in Baringa. Newer homes have clean, accessible roof spaces with room for the indoor unit, so ducted can usually be added in one to two days. We cut in the ceiling outlets and return grille, run the ducts and drain through the roof, and mount the outdoor unit where it suits the side setback.
Compact Baringa lots mean the side setbacks are tight, so outdoor unit placement is planned for airflow, noise and service access, and so it does not sit under a neighbour's bedroom window. If the existing split systems are in good order we can leave them, relocate them, or remove them and patch the walls.

What does a typical Baringa home need?
A typical four bedroom Baringa home with an open kitchen, living and dining area suits about 12.5 kW and five zones; with a media room it is usually 14 kW and six zones. We allow about 150 W per square metre for each zoned room and size the system at about 70 percent of the total, then confirm it at the inspection.
Two storey Baringa homes are different: upstairs bedrooms take more heat through the roof, so we zone them separately and sometimes recommend a separate system for each level. The inspection decides it, not a rule of thumb.

Do you work with the builders building in Baringa?
Yes. Delta Temp works for 15+ Sunshine Coast builders and has completed 35+ builder projects in the last three years. On a new build we work from the plans, rough in at frame stage and commission before handover, so the home is cool on the day the keys change hands.
If you are about to build in Baringa or elsewhere in Aura, ask your builder whether air conditioning is in the contract and what it includes. We can price ducted from the plans so you can compare it with the builder's allowance before you sign.

How fast can you get to a Baringa home for a service or repair?
Baringa is our home suburb, so a service or repair call is a short drive from the workshop. We service and repair most brands of ducted and split systems, not only the ones we installed, and every visit ends with a clear explanation of what we found.
Regular servicing matters more than people expect on the coast: filters clog, drains block, and a unit that runs hard through a humid January needs a clean and a check before the next one.
